Land
Assisted by gravity, land training is perfect for getting better at moving through Activities of Daily Life, ADL’s, and your everyday activities. Gravity initiates immediate feed-back through the body which creates your unique map guide us in your journey toward your goals. We use Authentic Movement Programming, to customize each and every step of your progress.
Water
Pool offers a safe alternative to land training when there are movement limitations. Perfect for arthritis, injury, recovery, chronic pain. This is not swimming! You are free to move easier with reduced pain, support of warm water, no risk of falling. We use Authentic Movement Programming to create a custom fluid & efficient way to progress.
Combo
At some point in your journey, a combination of LAND and POOL may be needed. If that becomes necessary, we simply provide you with the option to have guidance in both environments either in-person or with independent access to my on-line library or with exercises you’ll be given to do on your own. This is completely based on your comfort level, safety and progress.
How to begin…
FREE PHONE CALL
It all starts with a complimentary 30 min phone call to talk about your current situation & goals. Together we decide which environment is best for you. If you already know you need water therapy, that’s where we’ll begin. During the call, we will schedule your Functional Movement assessment.
POOL ASSESSMENT
This takes place in-person at the pool. Based on your current situation & goals, I’ll start by taking you through very simple movements to see how your body is behaving with those motions. Right away, you will begin to listen to your body. We will use the feedback from your body to design and navigate a functional movement program custom to you.
ON-LAND ASSESSMENT
This takes place either virtually, or in-person. Based on your current situation & goals, I’ll start by taking you through a variety of movements to discover how your body is behaving under those circumstances. This is where you will begin to listen to your body and recognize the feedback the body is providing. This process is guided by what you are feeling in your body, recognizing your success and where to improve. We will use the feedback from your body to design and navigate a functional movement program custom to you.
POST-ASSESSMENT CHECK-IN
We schedule your next appointment to discuss how your body felt after that initial assessment. Information from your body is used to set up your program rhythm. No two bodies are alike and neither are the programs they follow. We’ll decide on what’s the best plan moving forward and go from there!

POOL FAQs

The pool is a private therapy pool enclosed inside a healthcare office. Access is by appointment ONLY. There is NO public access.

NO! During your scheduled pool session it is your private session time ONLY. If you participate in small group pool classes, you’ll be sharing the pool with other adults.
